Global 1201 and Global 1200 Whereabouts

Why is TechnipFMC making such a drastic move of leaving the #SLay market❓

Between 2020 and 2021, TechnipFMC has sold both their highly capable heavy-lift S-Lay vessels, Global 1200 and Global 1201. 

Firstly, in 2020, as soon as PT Timas Suplindo got hold of Global 1201, she just went straight in for her first S-Lay job with Cortez Subsea using Zaplok technology with a new vessel name - Timas 1201.
As of current status, Timas 1201 is still focusing on #HeavyLift and S-Lay construction projects. 

However, in May 2021, Global 1200 caught us by surprise. She was sold to DS Global Offshore Engineering ( 天津环球海工 ) for her first offshore wind farm construction with a new vessel name - 环球 1200.
